Warhammer 40k is an allegory for the geopolitics of the late 20th and early 21st century.

The emperor: Western values-. Christian morality, liberalism, individualism etc... Western values are like a corpse on life support being used to lead western society forward at any cost. No matter how outdated and impractical they are, western civilization will literally justify any atrocity to preserve them and anyone who disagrees will be spurned as a "heretic."

Chaos gods: forces of nihilism and chaos - Everything threatening to destroy modern western civilization. Terrorism, disease, war, political upheaval etc..

Orcs: The uneducated and violent underclass- The thugs, the hooligans and the third world rabble. The disenfranchised and angry underclass that just want to smash society.

Eldar: Eastern cultures- Smug and arrogant, constantly using their past glory to justify their superiority and sometimes unjustifiably callous and cruel. Slaanesh represents the spiritual blight of complacency and decadent consumerism that is slowly consuming them.

Eldar are a mix of many cultures not just eastern but a lot of it can be based off imperial Britian snobbery

The empire is many things but “liberal” is not one of them nor is it progressive, they are xenophobic backwards faggots. You missed the mark on this one

Yea that is true. The eldar are heavily inspired by the ancient chinese and celts but politically, their role is similar to the role eastern nations had compared to the west in the 19th and 20th centuries.

The necrons and tau don't really have any ideological or political similarities to real world cultures accept aesthetics.

That’s his so. Who rebelled who is called Horus dude not the emperor. And ironically the emperor is against religion and says multiple times he’s not a god

Western values during ww2 era was still progressive they were developing stuff the empire in. 40k is stagnant and not advancing at all

The Eldar are actually based of the British, celts, and Japanese not Chinese we seven have weapons called “shurikens” though they also take a lot from other sci such as predator (look up striking scorpions they are basically the predators from alien vs predator. And they have a lot of fantasy elve inflience but that’s common sense hence the exodited and saim Han bike elves craftworld.

The tau are a mix of all eastern cultures DUDE mostly East Asians and Indian. They have a caste system they like Indians, they are very conservative and advanced fast after meeting humans like the Japanese did during the 18 hundreds. The tau weapons and gear all are Weeb inspired by the blue smurfs are even short and weaker than humans like East Asians are shorter and weaker than whites in the real world. There’s a god that the humans in the tau empire accidentally made called Ganesha and yes it takes the form of a blue Hindu god. The tau are the most accepting of other races and like the Chinese are communist

Sorry but the tau are the easterners the Eldar have too much unique influence to be based of any one culture as they are an amalgamation of many cultures they even have ancient Egyptian influence far more than celtic and Japanese influence BTW.

I can see the japanese influence on the eldar. It's blatantly obvious with the dark eldar:lul:.

I always thought the Imperium was mainly inspired from ancient Rome, an overstretched empire that has to divide it's attention to deal with countless problems that it would be able to easily deal with if it wasn't so vast.

You also have the warp rift that split the imperium in two, kind of like what happened with rome. Papa smurf could be seen as Constantine or Justinian, trying to re unite the empire and reform the imperial religion. I think he might try to change the imperial truth and lead the empire away from worshiping the Emperor as a god.

I predict our blonde aryan boy will continue to BTFO chaos and allow the dark imperium to once again see the light of the astronomicon. After that, he'll start setting out his reforms and go after the dogma, I think this will cause a rebellion where the hyper religious guys will take up arms against lil G and his atheism, calling him a traitor, Girlyman will assblast them ofc but the war will be devastating, prolly causing a lot of the imperium to just die from all the warp fuckery. So after the war, he'll put in the reforms and maybe divide power so you have several people leading the imperium, effectively creating multiple imperiums of man.

yeah the imperium takes a lot from British empire and Roman Empire more than anything else else at least in terms of aesthetics and issues of border rebellions and a vast majority empire but the advancments and progression is low in the imperium with no new inventions being made instead they just rediscover lost technology from the golden age of man.

The dark Eldar have very little jap influence I dunno where you got that from literally none for the most part. Dark Eldar are basaicwlly a mockery of what would happen if every boy became vindictive sadistic capitalistic cunts. I guess you could argue and say they have satanic cult vibes to them.

Normal Eldar as I said have many influences too many to say “MUH JAPANESE” or “MUH EGYPTIAN” or “MUH BRITISH” or “MUH CELT” they are diverse each craftworld fights differently with their own outlook on life. ulthwe is more Egyptian Moses era leaning whilst howling banshee are more celtic leaning, Iyanden is the most sci fi, beil tan is the most warrior focused and bad influence from many warrior cultures including Japan but they are not the majority of the warrior influence. People really wank off the Japanese influence In the Eldar which is hilarious considering how vanilla GW as a company is they rarely look outside of western culture for their stuff the Tau and Necrons are an exception and they make it very obvious they are Gook and sandnigger inspired having a “warrior shrine” is not exclusive to japane even Africans and native Americans had warrior shrines JFL
