Cause even if they win against atletico, winning against psg or bayern will be very difficult and can go either way for them , so throwing away the league just to lose against bayern/psg in the final will do serious damage to the team's morale as they'll literally go trophyless
If they win the prem , atleast they'll win a major trophy after years and regain some confidence to go all out once again
