The problem with dieting

Is if you're on a diet then that means at sone point you're going to be off the diet. Sounds like a cliche, but it's true.

That's why I decided to take another approach this time. It's a gradual lifestyle change, yes? So that's the mentality you need to have also when you reach your goal weight.

Maybe I'll be happy at 63kg, but when I get there my metabolic rate is going to be significantly lower than it is now. That's just a fact. That means I can't start eating what I think is maintenance, because I won't even know what it is. I'll just make small changes week by week and make sure my weight doesn't go up again. It's called reversed dieting, I believe. You can have like 300 calories more every week for like 3 weeks and then you find your new maintenance calories.

'Diet' is a gimmick type of mindset, you should be thinking in terms of what is normal. You are already setting yourself up for failure by treating it as a novelty.
