To start off, I would like to state that I'm not downplaying the importance of being a neurotypical person/coming across as one in any way, shape or form. It doesn't beat looks, but it is important, nonetheless.

Having said that, I do think that the idea of following these NTmaxxing threads, is somewhat flawed. Especially if it doesn't come naturally to you.
Some of the things that these threads point out are legit. However, others are simply too far-fetched.

If you start listening to music that is deemed popular/NT, but at the same time, isn't the type of music you actually like to listen to, what's the point of it? Most people don't care what type of music you listen to. If you know a couple of songs from popular/mainstream artists, that's more than enough.
If you fraud your Snapchat score, from 5k to let's say 50k, by sending a disproportionate amount of snaps to a bunch of random celebs, and then get to the point where you start to add actual people, what are you going to send to them? Since you obviously cannot send meaningless spam to these people.
If you swap your Samsung for an iPhone, you're not going to live a more enjoyable life/be seen as more NT/likeable etc. Now, this may just be an American thing (after all, I live in Europe myself so it's probably not comparable, nobody cares what type of phone you have here).
If you suddenly start to adopt liberal/leftwing beliefs, you're not going to be seen as more likeable either. Most people don't actually care about politics, they just like to virtue signal, from time to time. If anything, it's better to not talk about political/societal issues in general, or simply adopt a neutral tone whenever someone brings it up.

At this point, it merely becomes a facade. Yes, you could also approach all of this with a 'fake it till you make it' type of mentality, but you're not going to change your brain chemistry, which ultimately dictates all. You're only gonna fool yourself in the long run.

I do think that the more simple things, such as fashion/style in general are far more important, to actually come across as a neurotypical person.

Dress well, have a good style, don't state beliefs that are deemed as 'outlandish' by the majority of people, be able to engage in everyday/normal topics, small talk and you're basically set, provided you have at least average looks to go with it.

But maybe I'm wrong and these small details actually matter when you're a teenager, these days. After all, I'm in my early 20s myself so it's a little bit different for me/people from my generation, I guess.

I think a lot of people mix up being neurotypical with being typical. If you share the same interests, style and products of normal people, it won't make you better at socializing, it will only make you better at blending in and doesn't solve the problems you have in the first place.

Good point actually.
Brain chemistry (nature) dictates how neurotypical you actually are as a person and if you are good at socializing, or not.

Environment (nurture) matter as well, but this is all set in place from a young age and most people have a hard time changing these patterns, later on in life.

Here are my two key takes:
1. Dressing NT>>>>>
If your wardrobe is still full of clothes your mum selected for you whilst you were inside playing games, or that you occasionally bought just for the sake of having a wider variety of clothes, read a fashionmaxxing guide, observe what fashionable people in your area wear and start ordering ASAP. I'd say fashion is one of the few things normies are actually more redpilled on than looksmaxxers are, and it IS something people IRL tend to notice early on.

2. Most people are NT by default. As long as you don't say some extremely outlandish stuff, maintain good eye contact, don't stutter, have some common topics to talk about, etc, you're "normal" to most people. You're most likely perceived as non-NT because of the way you dress and - for a lot of guys out there - your lack of presence on social media (can get away with this if you're either good looking or have an extremely interesting life that can negate this failo, in which case social media would still be a big plus). Feel free to work on your social skills, confidence and stuff, but be aware that this likely isn't the reason people perceive you as non-NT, unless the things you constantly say are extremely outlandish to normies.

(This all is assuming you aren't some kind of truecel, in which case people sadly won't perceive you as NT anyways)

So basically what you are saying is "don't try to be NT, but try to look NT".
So looks ... again

Yes, basically this. People here always start to look for an elephant in the room (why am I not fulfilled in life, besides looks?) and subsequently start to point out obscure details, small things that have little/no significant bearing on their lives or how people perceive them in general.

Social media (or lack thereof, rather) can be a tricky one. But then again, I've seen average looking dudes at uni with no snap/instagram whatever and they had girlfriends and were perceived as sociable guys too.

Indeed. NT = mostly looks, still.
Behaviour matters as well, but getting an iPhone/listening to a different type of music isn't gonna make you more NT.

Indeed, I agree. I cannot listen to latino or nigger music for the sake of it. I prefer techno, house and indie far more.
Personally for phones I'd never upgrade to the latest iphone or buy apple products frequently, my S7 is dying and I was looking into an iPhone 12 or an S21.

Biggest issue is being masc in this zoomer pretty boy era
This is considered NT for zoomer culture but I'd look legit retarded in this.

I can't put the facade of being trendy on because that's just not who I am, I'm quite sure that if I try to get involved in that culture I'll just fucking breakdown and go back to what I did beforehand.

It's an actual pain I'd look so fucking stupid as my body type isn't ectomorph either so I'm not lanky. The entire fashion looks so retarded on anyone masc but you can't look too old with actual masc wear because then people will think you are high class snob or trying to look old :lul:

Same. Zoomer fashion looks cringe and giga tryhard, I could never go outside repping this garbage.

I get most of my clothes from basic stores such as H&M and Zara tbh, don't need much else. Looks normal and not tryhard.

beeing NT doesnt mean that you should change your phone or your music taste.. who dafuk said this?:y'all:

if this was true that would mean that all android users are non NT? so the majority of people?

Yeah it's beyond retarded. But you would be surprised at how many people here seem to think that iPhone = NT and Android = non-NT, I know some people here like to joke about it, but others are actually being serious about it.

H&M and Zara are zoomer fashion lol only the quirky ppl go crazy on streetwear. H&M, Zara, Urban Outfitters, a few fashion pieces and designer stuff (watches, shoes, shirts, sweatshirts), mainstream shoes, and you're good. And maybe a chain or a ring too.

What's important is layering your clothes and matching colorways for a good look

The problem with NT guides is that ppl focus on being normal too much. You should have one really good trait like you are very interesting to talk to, you are funny af, you tell entertaining stories, that makes ppl want to be around you. That will halo you more than anything else if you are already 4.75 PSL.

It's hard to get one rly good personality trait but its possible through exposure to different situations and watching videos

honestly gargantuan, i just don't fit in with this generation's expectations. the way teenagers project themselves is just foolish. i'm happy to be on my own, even if it makes me a loser i would much rather stay true to myself than changing my personality just to fit into what people nowadays think of as 'nt'

just be grateful for what you have, people have it much worse. don't fake it until you make it for people's validation, it won't get you anywhere in the long term.

Honestly, this current generation seems fucked in the head, all brainless NPCs.
I also value my solitude a lot, but I'm very grateful for the fact that I found true friends in this life as well, despite having trouble to relate to this current generation, at times.

And I agree, you could've been born in India or China, born disabled, deaf, blind etc. Even when life seems grim at times, you still gotta count your blessings at the end of the day.

Great for them - it's really a blessing in disguise, mainstream social media is cancer ngl, from the blatant data theft all the way to the degenerate globohomo shit being shoved down our throats daily. I wish we could go back in time ten years earlier where social media was just a side hustle and not the main way people communicate (not counting WhatsApp as social media).
Oh well, zoomers are so fucking vain when it comes to this stuff, disregarding all the damaging shit that comes with it and only communicating through Snapchat and Instagram.

I think we all know what we should be doing but don't because we think there is some"deeper truth" to it some secret that we are not in on so to speak so we go searching for it only to come back where we started.

From my experience I believe you shouldnt force yourself to like what you dont, but it helps to at least be in touch with it

When you are a socially anxious person, feeling alienated from other people on social situations will make you even more anxious and awkward

So in the beginning of your socialization process its helpful to get in touch with those things you dont like. With time, if you keep socializing, sooner or later you'll be less and less anxions among people, and at this point you'll feel free to be whatever you want without feeling nervous and self conscious

People wont find you weird if you have different interests(from what I see), but they'll find you weird if you show anxiety when socializing with mainstream culture

Hop on roids and get ripped, you can wear whatever clothes you want and people will compliment you just for being good looking

You need to stop caring about Normies, they are useless, alot of them are narcissitic losers they only use people for what they are/have

I mean imagine caring about social media prescence, when girls notice I dont use social media I just tell them " Why do YOU care so much about it ? your pics look fake on there anyway, you'll never look like that filtered photo IRL, not to mention you aint making money off it "
