There were already many similar leaders claiming to be messiah in Jesus' day. It is even mentioned in the book of Acts. And there are still false messiahs now. The difference is, none of them were able to rise from the grave. With Jesus, over 500 people witnessed Him back from the dead.
The Creator takes an interest in us as evidenced by the resurrection of Jesus. It was a historical event. The authors of the Bible didn't have to know what exactly stars were to teach other truth. It is a fallacy to think an author must know a lot about everything in order to tell of a specific truth about a specific aspect. The Bible barely talks about anything scientific. The purpose of it is to lead us to God, a spiritual Being. Studying the physical world in detail is a freedom left to us to fill in as long as it doesn't directly contradict the Bible. Just like a first grade textbook's purpose is to lead children to learn addition, writing and reading, not applied mathematics. But once they go to university to learn math or language in detail, obviously what they learn cannot contradict simple addition. Something that is simple doesn't mean it is false.

Yes, books can contain truth can they not? Almost everything you believe about your supposed "proof" of evolution you got through books and film created by humans. It just makes sense to you. To me the stuff in the Bible makes sense. It tells me what the big picture is. The details about creation I can read from Robert Hooke, Newton, Leeuwenhoek, William Sturgeon etc. But the purpose of it I can read in the Bible.
