That’s a myth.

An explanation as to why is, the limits on dark vision are primarily dictated by the retina and its ability to adapt to darkness. When you go into a dark place, the retina slowly becomes much much more sensitive to low light levels, and after about 40 minutes you achieve your maximal dark adaptation (unless you have some retinal condition that delays the process, or a rod dystrophy).

You don’t really get much extra light through the iris in blue eyes/green eyes, in fact, such a thing would be bad, because scattered light through the iris results in additional glare (extra un-imaged light that washes out the light that has properly passed through the pupil and lens). Most of the absorption of light doesn’t even take place in the ‘coloured’ part of the iris, it takes place at the back of the iris where there is a heavily pigmented epithelial layer in everyone (apart from people with albinism).

Well you could say you want scientific based information but a research like that would be considered racist in 2020 so just look at the acceptance of white people in general in the world.
