The ratings subforum is practically useless nowadays

I can assure you that 95% of the people who will give you your rating have no idea what they are talking about; they don't base their assessments on a fixed scale, and their ratings are inconsistent

Aside from the fact that and I don't want to generalize about an entire group, but it’s worth pointing out the majority of people rating you are "greys" or, generally speaking, people with no experience on the forum. And be honest: do you think someone who is just getting the hang of the forum can actually understand a rating system?

And finally, the vast majority of people aside from rating you poorly (whether by overestimating or underestimating you, with the latter happening most often) will almost never tell you what you actually need to "move up," instead offering destructive criticism.

That makes me wonder:
What is the point of the ratings subforum these days?

both systems have huge flaws, getting rated by someone who’s assessing someone by measuring ratios, dimorphism, angularity is better but can be pointless if its a bad picture or someone doesn’t know fx. your pheno, also claiming that certain ratios are ideal when most people in your environment don’t match them also distorts the thruth. at the end of the day getting your rating in public>>>measurments>>>eyeballing
