If I change your esr from 48% to 49%, that will, on average, make you slightly less attractive. It may not be enough to drop you from mtn to subhuman, but it will still make you slightly less desirable. Looks are partially subjective, yes, but if someone falls between mtn and htn, they don't have to fit neatly into either category, while merely being subjectively more attracive to some. That doesn't make any sense. Ratings are essentially the mean and median of how people would rate you relative to the population (not the literal numerical scores they assign, since most people have completely skewed rating systems).
