Modern Society Embracing sin

modern society can normalize behaviors that have traditionally been considered morally wrong. The concern is that when something becomes common or socially accepted, people can gradually stop questioning whether it is actually good for themselves or others.

Popularity alone doesn’t determine whether a behavior is ethical, and repeatedly seeing harmful behavior portrayed as normal can make its consequences easier to overlook.

At the same time, morality isn’t completely universal or frozen in one historical period. Different cultures and religions have disagreed about what constitutes “sin.” A more useful criticism is therefore to focus on concrete harms such as dishonesty, exploitation, cruelty, addiction, or betrayal rather than simply condemning something because society has changed its attitude toward it.

Dirty Politics
political behavior involving dishonesty, manipulation, corruption, smear campaigns, abuse of power, or deliberately misleading the public. These practices can be harmful because democratic decision-making depends heavily on people being able to obtain reliable information and hold officials accountable. When politicians deliberately deceive people or manipulate political processes for personal or factional benefit, trust in institutions can suffer.

It can also turn political disagreement into something more destructive than a debate over policies. Instead of discussing evidence and competing ideas, people may be encouraged to view opponents as enemies who must be defeated at any cost. That can make compromise harder and encourage further dishonesty or retaliation. Criticizing “dirty politics,” however, doesn’t mean that every controversial political tactic is automatically corrupt; specific claims should be judged based on evidence.

Degeneracy
Degeneracy is a broad moral label for behavior it considers sexually or socially destructive. A more precise way to discuss the issue is to focus on behaviors that can genuinely hurt people for example, exploitation, coercion, betrayal, objectification, or treating other people as disposable. Those behaviors can damage trust and relationships because they disregard another person’s dignity and boundaries.

It’s also important not to treat consensual differences in people’s lifestyles as automatically immoral simply because they don’t conform to someone’s personal or religious standards. The stronger ethical argument is about harm, consent, honesty, responsibility, and respect. Someone can disagree with a particular lifestyle without assuming that everyone involved is inherently bad.

Born To Be Average
The message behind “born to be average”criticizes conformity and the idea of simply following the crowd without developing your own abilities or ambitions. If someone stops trying to learn, improve, create, or pursue meaningful goals because they assume they should just fit in, they may miss opportunities to discover what they’re capable of. Social pressure can sometimes encourage people to choose what’s comfortable rather than what is genuinely meaningful to them.

However, being average isn’t inherently bad. People naturally have different abilities, circumstances, interests, and goals, and nobody needs to be extraordinary to have a valuable life. The healthier lesson is not “you must be exceptional,” but rather don’t let other people’s expectations prevent you from developing yourself or pursuing goals that matter to you.

Destroying Earth
Environmental destruction can cause serious long term consequences because ecosystems provide things humans depend upon, including clean water, breathable air, food, fertile soil, and habitats for other species. Pollution, habitat destruction, excessive resource consumption, and other forms of environmental damage can disrupt ecosystems and make those resources more difficult to maintain. The effects can also extend beyond the people who directly caused the damage.

Another problem is that environmental damage can accumulate over time. A single piece of litter or one instance of waste may seem insignificant, but large scale pollution and resource consumption can become enormous when repeated by millions of people and organizations. Protecting the environment therefore involves both individual responsibility and larger decisions by businesses, communities, and governments.

War And Conflicts
War can cause enormous human suffering because armed conflicts can result in deaths, injuries, displacement, destruction of homes and infrastructure, and long lasting psychological and economic consequences. Civilians can be particularly vulnerable when fighting takes place around populated areas. Even after fighting ends, destroyed infrastructure, displaced families, unexploded weapons, and political instability can continue affecting communities for years.

War can also create cycles that are difficult to stop. Violence can produce grief and anger, which can fuel demands for retaliation and potentially lead to additional violence. That doesn’t mean every war has identical causes or that every historical conflict can be reduced to a simple moral story wars can involve self defense, territorial disputes, political struggles, ethnic or religious tensions, and many other factors. But the human costs are a major reason societies generally try to resolve conflicts through diplomacy and other peaceful means when possible.

This was probably my highest effort thread, but again just spreading my word. The snake eating itself symbolizes the fact that we are destroying ourselves by following modern society.

How To Better Yourself

Think for yourself instead of blindly following society or politics. It warns against being manipulated by social pressure or political divisions and encourages people to question what they’re told rather than accepting everything automatically.

also valuing life, relationships, yourself, and the environment. Keeping loved ones close, respecting those who have lived and died, caring for your own well-being, and protecting the planet are presented as ways to live with greater responsibility and purpose.

I didn’t use the snake eating its tail for the ouroboros, sure a snake eating its tail can be signified as a ouroboros. But also many other things, for example.

I used it as a sign of us humans destroying our own species.
