Everyone on here is always posting that they’re going to get this done, get that done etc when it’s obvious they aren’t and have probably hardly researched into it.

Plastic surgery is NOT a fun experience, yes I would do a million times again if I had to for the results but it is an extreme mix of emotions.

None of my nurses spoke English, I was unable to breathe for two weeks, blood was constantly pouring out my nose, my nostrils were so uneven at first and the nurses were trying to explain it but I couldn’t understand what they were saying.

It is scary, it is rough, sometimes you’ll look in the mirror and hardly recognise yourself, most of the time you’ll love the outcome of course

My face was huge and swollen, I was getting looks everywhere I went, I had to go to uni with my cast on etc

Just letting everyone know my experience, although I am very happy

Obviously and I’m not expecting them too (although my doctor did, just not the nurses) but I’m just saying that it added to the scariness of it, the cleaner was the only person who understood when I was asking for more pain meds, obviously it was scary as I was in a country I’ve never been before, I was alone etc

Exactly! My friend got her boobs done and I went with her and I’ve never been more scared for someone’s life, her skin was genuinely grey, she couldn’t move, she had to has feeding tubes etc, I think people think they will just wake up looking perfect and it’s done

I've read that rhino is the most difficult surgery psychologically. Even though jaw surgery recovery is much worse as far as I know, it doesn't fuck with your mind as much as rhino

I have done both, and rhino is 10x more chill but yea seeing the nose for the first time makes you want to puke, esp for since it got a bit botched

isn't rhino more unpredictable in general? Like with jaw surgery you have comprehensive planning with ct imaging and precision down to millimeters but rhino is more of an artistic surgery, like you can get a morph beforehand but the end result can vary by a lot so you have to spend months before you can judge whether you got botched or not.

I haven't done jaw surgery but I imagine you are much more confident afterwards despite the swelling, or is it the case of grass being greener

Yes definitely! It’s really unpredictable my friend had to get a second cos her first one turned out completely different to the morph, it’s definitely most artistic

btw how much did your tip drop and when? Did your philtrum appear larger for the first month or so?

What surgery is that ?
@RealSurgerymax @Orka @Wexilarious
A septorhinoplasty straightens the septum of the nose for breathing and appearance purposes, so they completely reshaped my nose while also redesigning the inside of my nose.

With nose jobs you can get a closed nose job which is basically them not cutting open ur face but doesn’t have much effort visually, there’s lots of different types but a septorhinoplasty is probably the most complex

I feel like my tip is still dropping now, I’m only 6 months post op so still have swelling and tape occasionally, I have thick skin too, however I really started to love my nose around month 4

And yes my philtrum seemed HUGE at first and ngl I got lip filler like 3 weeks post op anyways so it’s hard to say if it ‘went back to normal’ or my lips were just bigger, sizing seems normal now tho

When they removed my stints and I looked in the mirror for the first time I genuinely nearly passed out, the new look, swelling, and the pain I just went through having those huge things take. Out my nose was extremely unpleasant

I think because asw it’s so unpredictable and the centre of ur face, if u don’t like it at first which most people don’t it’s a really shock
