The contemporary world is overloaded with information and its very hard to let your voice be heard, both offline and online.

In real life, if the teacher’s lecture’s first few minutes are boring, they had already lost most of their audience at the beginning; likewise in a social setting if you are telling a story and doesn’t reach a conclusion under a minute people will talk over you

Online forums like reddit discourage complex arguments; a single downvote can send your high effort essay to the bottom of the thread

It’s no longer enough to have good takes, you need to be able to compress it in a witty way to a few sentences max. Otherwise zoomers with their 10 second attention spans will just skip it and go to the next one.
