The single biggest reason is.. because it's not realistic at how Men act, i mean look you have situations where mc is getting chased by Women or has a girl that likes him but he doesn't do anything, it's understable it's for comedic effect and storytelling but at certain point it goes from mildly amusing to infuriating, even when i was younger i watched this Jap Cartoon called KissxSis where our main dude is living with his new stepsisters and the mc doesn't even fuck any of them jfl.(though granted unlike in 98% similar Animes he at least kisses them and does some sex related stuff)

Male anime characters act like scared, high inhib, soyboys but for some stupid reason everything works out in the end for them. I think companies do this to appeal to their audience (which are mostly Asian soyboys).
