I was bullied by alexander and got a 10% warning in the past for mass tagging
So I have been feeling obligated to report other content for mass tagging out of spite
But I have noticed that some users would create threads about them being upset that content that I reported was being removed
This to me was interesting because although I reported them and there content was gone I never received a notification that my report was followed through on
This leads me to 4 theories

The likely theory:
"If a post is reported multiple times all subsequent reports are removed and mods are not notified about them"
This would explain why I was not notified despite my report clearly being followed through on
It was simply because another person reported them before me
This theory is plausible because it would remove recurring reports and make the mods job easier

The unlikely theory:
Following through on a report requires 2 actions
1. Removing the content
2. Confirming to the user who reported the content that there report was followed through on
If step 2 is to be followed manually and not automatically then it is then possible that
some mods skip step 2 altogether and do not notify the reporter that there report was followed through on
This theory is unlikely because it would point to a gross inconsistently within the moderation department

The cluttered theory
Mods see a list of every report and randomly decide which one to check
This would explain why my report didn't get followed through on
Because a mod randomly decided to check another persons report who had reported the same thing as me
If this theory is correct I would highly suggest the mods clean this system

I am crazy theory:
I was notified about my reports being followed through on but I somehow missed them
This theory is unlikely given that I have very few posts and might only get 10-20 notifications a day
