Attention, the text was translated by him at the request of a person from the comments.
Preface: This post is NOT ABOUT ALL forum members. In this post, I am describing only the majority of people, their psychology, and explaining their behavior. I am not trying to say that I am perfect — we all have our flaws — but these particular individuals have really gotten out of hand after starting to feel like gods. I won't keep you any longer — let's get started.
After spending some time on the Russian section of the forum, I came to the following conclusion: 90% of the participants in the Russian section are simply aggressive teenagers who are incapable of putting together a couple of sentences without insults and profanity.
This is a forum, not a kindergarten.
You are not working on self-improvement or improving your appearance. You are playing grown-up, trying to establish your self-worth through other people.
Obvious examples:
1) Someone asks a question. What do we see in most cases?
"Are you stupid?"
"Figure it out yourself, idiot."
"That's basic, dumbass."
Children. An adult will either stay silent or explain things properly. Only a foolish person will try to build themselves up by putting others down.
2) Someone disagrees with the prevailing opinion. They are immediately labeled a "normie," "coping," or "grey."
It's like being in a sandbox: either you're with us or you're against us.
Just stupid labels supposedly backed by internet "coaches," rather than actual research.
3) Someone posts their photo for evaluation. What do we see instead of an assessment based on specific criteria and an analysis of facial geometry?
"Ugly."
"Over."
"Nothing can help you."
That's not criticism, guys. That's bullying.
And in most cases, it's done by people who are themselves afraid to show their faces.
This isn't a forum anymore. It's a herd.
Let's analyze their behavior from a psychological perspective.
Take a couple of minutes and try to think about it yourself — come up with your own hypotheses. In turn, I'll try to explain the essence and depth of their behavior as clearly as possible.
Part 1
1) Social pressure
When a person like this feels that their self-esteem is being threatened, they instinctively look for someone weaker than themselves. This is a classic defense mechanism, and on a forum it takes on a specific form:
You are a normie = I am not a normie.
You are a loser = I am not a loser.
Nothing can help you = maybe something will help me.
Every person they humiliate gives them a sense of relief. Unfortunately, that relief is short-lived, so they unconsciously keep looking for a new victim again and again. It works almost like an addiction.
2) Projection
People attribute their own feelings and emotional states to others.
An aggressive teenager writes, "You're worthless," simply because deep down they genuinely feel worthless themselves. Admitting that is too painful, so it is much easier to lash out at other people.
The Russian forum becomes a dumping ground for other people's pain.
3) Frustration → aggression
When a goal is blocked, frustration arises, and it can lead to aggression.
For these people, the goals are things like "becoming top 1%," "getting female attention," or "becoming respected."
The goal is unattainable — at least according to their own beliefs. The frustration is enormous.
That aggression gets directed at whoever is nearby — at people who are struggling just like they are.
This is known as displaced aggression: you cannot hit the real source of your frustration — nature, genetics, society — so you attack whoever happens to be within reach.
Part 2
The deeper layers: what exactly is happening to their identity?
1) An identity built around deprivation
Most of them simply have no other external source of self-respect.
No achievements at work, in education, sports, relationships, or creative pursuits.
The only thing they have in their lives is membership in the forum's "elite." They desperately try to maintain that status by any means necessary.
This is where the following comes from:
A newcomer = a threat.
They ask a stupid question, which means they are challenging the supposed expertise of the "elite."
Someone who disagrees = a threat.
They can potentially destroy the entire worldview on which their self-esteem depends — especially if their arguments are supported by facts and research.
2) Fragile self-esteem
This isn't simply low self-esteem. In fact, it's the opposite: high self-esteem in its most unstable form.
A single take or argument can put a crack in it. This kind of self-esteem often requires strong external validation.
Hence the hypersensitivity and aggression in response to even the slightest criticism.
3) Toxic masculinity
The looksmaxxing community is often built around false and distorted ideas about what a "real man" should be:
A man must be strong, dominant, unemotional, and always right.
Any softness or vulnerability = weakness.
Therefore:
You can't say, "I don't know" — that's humiliating.
You can't say, "I'm hurting" — you're a girl and a crybaby.
You can't support someone else — you're a simp and a doormat.
That's why aggression becomes the only acceptable form of communication. Everything else is forbidden by their internal "code."
4) The "us vs. them" effect
Group identity is formed through opposition.
We are the ones who know the truth.
They are the greys, normies, doormats, and idiots.
The most interesting part is that there is aggression within the group as well. However, it is disguised as "harsh truth" and "honesty."
This allows them to preserve their aggression while convincing themselves that they aren't being toxic — they're simply telling the truth.

That was the first part of my analysis of the Russian-speaking looksmaxxing forum.
