Memetics and satire have gone hand in hand for the last decade. Satirical ideas spread faster because they appeal to more people.

A meme making fun of a topic in a satirical manner will be ambiguous as to what the creator of the meme actually thinks of the topic.

A woman saying men are bad will be hard-pressed to be more specific and will struggle all the more to say what makes a man good.

Someone who makes a TikTok making fun of "cringe redpill dialogue" will be hard-pressed to say what good game looks like.

This is all to say: it is far easier to say a negative than to offer a positive statement.

This goes hand in hand with the lack of sincerity on social media. Where the appearance matters more than the real. All too often someone's sincere opinion is rather disappointing and bland, especially if they are the type to make fun of divergences or the "cringe."
