I think if it’s more of a taper than a hard fade it can work, but this works better the more swarthy/med you are

Whereas skinfade with long hair on top looks fucking comical

Damn I'm really med looking, a lot of people think I'm Italian
When I regrow my hairline I might try the top. I agree bottom looks hilarious.
