Latino isn't a race, hispanic is. Hispanic = native american mixed with spanish people, no matter how % of native or spanish genes they have. There's something like white hispanics too, people who barely have native american genes and look european. Latinos can be mixed with german, japanese, portuguese people and more...
50% of latinos are 50% native and 50% spanish, this is why they look bad. People who have 70% european genes look better, and the ones who have 90% european genes could travel to Europe and never feel out of place.

Both latinos and hispanics aren't a race.

Latino = having roots from Latin Europe, that's why the term Latin America for the (mostly) countries south of the USA borders, because were colonized by Latin European nations, mainly Portugal and Spain.

Hispanic = from Hispania, the ancient name for the Iberian Peninsula, in the past the Portuguese identified hispanics as well, but with time the term because associated with Spain only, and their colonialism created the Hispanic America. Hispanics can look like anything: white (Spaniards and their mostly or fully Spanish looking new world individuals), black, mestizo, triracial... the problem is that Americans hijacked the term and act like hispanic = mestizo mexican.
