I still remember my friends and family going world tours, to just simply live life and then to put a fade filter on and post it on Instagram. 2020-2022 however travelling was a mess due to the pandemic yet until 2025 travelholics did travel.

I have multiple throwback photos of the world tours done in childhood days but I lowkey fear being called out for AI while it’s clearly not. Crazy times we live in where just posting something real, a place you’ve genuinely traveled and spent thousands of dollars of money on is something afraid to be posted about due to a reverse imposter syndrome. AI has ruined Instagram. Infact, the latter age groups of Gen Z lowkey don’t wanna post stuff at all in a feed full of AI slop.

Good. Less people travelling the better, saves it for anyone who actually enjoys the experience rather than just wanting to flex.

As globalisation increases travelling will only increase but I genuinely think posting it however might have less importance since people you don’t know might just scroll thinking this is some AI slop, albeit Instagram is trying its best to label AI as AI slop with that C2PA cryptographic signature…something I believe @Jason Voorhees was talking about in here once.

I think you’re severely underestimating the number of people who are just trying to blitz the best photo spots in as many places as possible as quickly as possible for social media clout.

I think in long term travelling will decrease as incomes continue to drop and jet fuel prices rise tbh.
