Within the next century people in America, Australia, and western europe will effectively become slaves in pretty much every sense of the word. That is to say you will essentially become slaves. This is unironically your future.
I know that to some people this seems like a bold claim but it naturally follows using basic reasoning and observation.
1.The tendency for the elites to take as much as possible
The elites of society have a tendency to take as much as they possibly can, in other words if they can consolidate more power,wealth etc they will regardless of any moral implications of what is necessary. This idea is easily defensible. First of all we should mention even in theory we should expect this outcome. In a capitalistic society where increasing profits is everything then those who are most succesful wont just be have the traits of being innovative, intelligent etc but will also be willing to do anything it takes to achieve increased profits. The capitalist who is unwilling to comprise ethics in order to increase profit will be easily out competed by those who are. So even in principle before any observation we should expect this.
indeed thats what we observe pretty much every major corporation is involved in some illicit practice. DuPont knowingly poisoned the entire world with forever chemicals and hid it just so they could increase profits.

There is a general trend of decreasing reliance of corporations on the general population. Corporations are being increasingly driven towards focusing on high income spenders who are about half of all consumer spending. Corporations now have access to global markets, major corporations like Exxon, Microsoft and Apple now derive over half their revenue from overseas markets.
If you're wondering why it feels like even basic things like going to college, food, housing etc feel like theyre becoming more and more shut off from working people the reason is because the corporations providing you with those things literally dont rely on you anymore lol

The divergence between the efficiency of wealth which is generated from passive assets like stocks also furthers this problem. What do you think happens when someone with say 200,000 dollars realizes it is far more efficient in terms of wealth generation to put that money entirely in markets rather than say building a brick and mortar business which would provide jobs and stability for the locals? The result of this are stagnant wages, lower quality jobs, increasing wealth inequality and less social mobility since you as a working man are literally useless so no benefits of society will go towards you of course.
People often ask "why are stocks at records highs when the average persons life is getting more and more difficult" 90% of the market is owned by 10% of people you idiot. The DOW and S&P going up is not a measure of impact for your quality of life its a measure for the people who actually own assets you fool

Not because AI is perfect but because AI can now output decent code and do it at such a high rate that with just some human oversight I can massively increase operational efficiency.
Will AI completely replace humans? No, but what happens when it becomes more profitable to hire 1 engineer + give him AI tools than to hire 10 human engineers? The situation isn't looking too great
