the Trans phenomenon has singlehandedly set back feminism and lgbt stuff decades. millennials/gen z are far more hostile towards lgbt than they were in the pre-obama era because of how viscerally awful the trans stuff is to most decent people. they were fine with gay marriage but this has been proven to be a step too far.
we have also seen the complete erasure of the "successes" of third wave feminism in that the notion that there are gendered brains has made a comeback. there is growing support for the idea that women are wired to desire more passive, caretaker type roles.
the American conservative movement sat back and let feminists infiltrate everything but now previously untouchable people like jk rowling are persona non grata in elite society.
