Been self medicating isotret for 8 months now, going from 30mg--->60mg---->80mg which I have sustained for about 4 months now. Ever since I started 60mg I've gotten bad lower abdominal bloating, but I'd say it was still worth it to save my skin.

Hopefully once I come off isotret my gut comes back to normal and I won't get perma fucked with IBD like Frank Tufano even though he's a carnivore shill will a reason to shit on accutane
Source?

I was using Indiamart. Accufine is the brand they usually resell and what I used too. As for the abdominal bloating, it has partially resolved itself post treatment within 1-2 weeks, along with all the other classic accutane sides (achy joints, dry skin/hair). I realize now the GI sides were probably more due to the GLP1s I was using than anything else.

what do you think of pharma health or do you have a preference for a seller? if so can u send me one

The evidence for it being skin anti-aging in terms of collagen and elastin is not as strong for oral isotretinoin vs topical tretinoin. I think lower doses over a long period for oral isotretinoin could be viable.

I’m on 20mg a of Accutane, usually it starts with a bad purge, you have to sacrifice your health indicators temporarily to ascend.

The truth about Accutane/ Isotretinoin

This is a follow on from my other thread

Having getting rid of acne in most cases can be one of the most effective looksmaxes.

Contrary to popular belief acne is not as easy as just changing your diet (for example face iq used Accutane to get rid of his acne not diet contrary to popular belief)

Because of this compounds like Accutane have gained great popularity.

This thread will reveal if it is some overhyped scam drug or a staple that everyone should use

HISTORY
Isotretinoin was originally studied and patented in 1969 by Roche Laboratories as a possible treatment for skin cancer. Isotretinoin (also known as 13-cis-retinoic acid)

However it proved to be ineffective for that purpose so was set aside.

However they found it proved to be the most effective at treating the ravages of severe nodular acne and cystic acne. And thus changed uses to treating acne.

However in the early days they received numerous lawsuits against the drug were filed. Throughout the 1980s warning efforts escalated as the FDA and other regulatory agencies debated what to do.

Eventually, doctors were issued informed consent forms to be signed by patients and a series of increasingly stringent pregnancy prevention programs were put in place.

APPEAL IN THE PSL-SPACE
The biggest use of accutane is of course fighting off acne.

This is because accutane shrinks pores and reduces oil production (for simplicities sake I’ll talk more about the actual mechanism in the biology section).

This also has the added benefit of shrinking your nose. And being a useful anti aging drug.

In addition accutane doesn’t have many drawbacks, the biggest ones are dry lips and eyes. But that can easily be counter with eye drops and Vaseline and is rare to actually happen

So unlike Minoxidil you don’t need to choose between mogger eyes or jaw but rather acne free skin or having a pizza face

Most people lost acne within 6-9 months. However results weren’t always permanent in a lot of cases

National Institutes of Health (NIH) | (.gov)https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.govWhy Topical Retinoids Are Mainstay of Therapy for Acne - PMC

In addition peeling is common the first few weeks/months

Studies show that it also reduces acne scar size and is more effective than accutane (79% of people’s acne scars removed within tretinol vs 64% with Accutane)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15075042/

Studies also show that tretinol is a very good anti aging tool but efffects are similar to accutane

Most people acne went permanently away after using Accutane after 4-6 months even after stopping

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2835909/

Studies also show that it also reduces acne scar size as well

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10503936/

However evidence suggests that topical is more effective against acne scars

Studies also show its a powerful tool for anti-aging and collagen

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4560536/

All in all 20 mg of accutane mogs tretnoin but I’d recommend both, to truly get mogger skin.

Isotretinoin works by reducing grease (sebum) production in the skin by shrinking the sebaceous glands. This is why dry skin is the main side effect.

Grease in the hair follicles causes overgrowth of Cutibacterium acnes bacteria (formerly known as Propionibacterium acnes). This leads to inflammation and acne spots. By dropping grease production by as much as 90%, there is far fewer C. acnes bacteria in the skin and much less inflammation.

Isotretinoin also stops the hair follicle cells from being so sticky. This means it stops hair follicles from getting clogged up by skin cells. Because cells are slightly less sticky, they are also prone to shearing with trauma. Many people will find their skin is more fragile on Isotretinoin for this reason. This is also why waxing and threading must be avoided, as it could pull off the skin as well as hair

Accutane (and tretnoin) makes you photosensitive as the combined effects of reduced oil and thinner skin make your skin much more susceptible to sun damage and burning. So sunscreen is a must.

https://www.brgeneral.org/news-blog/2023/april/common-medications-that-increase-sun-sensitivity#:~:text=Isotretinoin, considered to be the,the risk of severe burns.

CONCLUSION
Combine accutane with a topical retenol for best results. Always use sunscreen with accutane. Always take it when you’re on a cycle. It would work well in anti-aging stack at low doses (10-20 mg)

Pls rep as I put a lot of effort in

Accutane a life saver the thing is you never know if it’s permanent
