Introduction
Let me introduce you faggots to the namepill.
This thread is dedicated to changs, niggers, spics, SEAmonkeys or anyone with a first name that has its language root in a non English language, for example Deepak Patel.
Most users on here know that you are judged on a lot of things other than your appearance. I say most for a reason. Some believe you are only judged based on your physical traits, but this thread will shine light on the fact that there are some things as superficial as your name that can have a relatively significant impact on your life, even though it's one of the easiest quality of life changes you can make.
Just a note before some white knight high ground taking moral faggot calls me a cuck or self hating Asian, I'm not saying you shouldn't be proud of your ancestry or anything along those lines. I even highly support the idea that every man should keep their last name when getting married, unlike some cucks online who take their wife's name. But, I'm just saying, picking out a first name isn't going to ruin your so called "honour" to your ancestors, and it's a quality of life boost, so I say pros outweigh cons by a lot.
And just so you know, I used AI purely for formatting help, every single word in this thread is mine, and mine only.
Also if you're one of those "abolish AI" niggas, I just want you to know that while you are spending your time trying to get the perfect format or some other bullshit by hand, your oneitis is getting piped by the niggas who use AI to help them do basic tasks which gives them time to slay, a luxury you don't have.
Over for Ethnicnamecels Trying to Wageslave? I Think Yes.
Buckle your seatbelts boyo, if you are East Asian or Indian, I've got the ultimate excuse for you to use against your parents when they ask you why you haven't become a doctor, engineer, or lawyer yet. You just tell them it's all their fault for giving you an Ethnic name and then moving you to the West. You are acquitted of any blame for your personal shortcomings academically.
Alright here we go the job application pill. The most famous study on this CV pill topic came from economists Marianne Bertrand and Sendhil Mullainathan in 2004.
Basically these researchfags got a bunch of lab rat niggas' identical resumes and sent them in to recruiters.
The only variable that changed, and the variable that is being tested was:
the names.
The test subjects with White/English sounding names received around 50% more callbacks than their African American name counterparts.
"White names received 50 percent more callbacks for interviews."
If you really think about it, that's kind of brutal.
Fuck your degree, fuck your experience, just change your name to one mentioned in the Bible theory.
This crater of a gap stayed consistent between:
- industries
- company sizes
- occupations
- experience levels
Some maple leafcels also conducted basically the same study in their country, and the results were unsurprisingly the same.
Examples of names used in the study:
| English Sounding | Ethnic Sounding |
|---|---|
| John Martin | Rajan Pillai |
| Jill Wilson | Sana Khan |
| Michael Brown | Lei Li |
The English names consistently got more interview callbacks despite identical qualifications.
And before some pseudointellectuals start hypothesizing about bullshit like muh if you have ethnic name just get better degree/experience or whatever the fuck stands out on a resume:
1. These nerdy researchers already tested that.
2. You know what else is a standout on a resume? Your fucking name nigger. It's literally the first thing Susan from HR reads before promptly DNR'ing your dogshit resume and chucking it in her bin, resulting in your resume now being stuck in between the tissues that her young new intern Chad used to clean up her pussy with after he creampied her.
Ok back on topic, as I stated above, these researchers already tried improving other aspects of the ethnic named resumes:
Elite schools.
Fluent English.
Extracurriculars.
International experience.
You get the gist, they tried to make Susan from HR orgasm by reading all the green flags in your resume instead of getting fucked by the intern.
Very unfortunately however, the result barely changed. Susan's back to getting finger pumped by Chad while Singhpreet's resume is in the bin again, even though Singhpreet went to Harvard.
Social + Dating Perceptions
"According to a 2014 study by OkCupid, users rated Asian men and Black women as less attractive than their counterparts from other ethnic groups." This should be water already, the namepill will further increase this "bias".
Yes, if your not Chang like me with an English first name, and your name is Phuc Nguyen from the slums of an old Viet Cong booby trap, then unfortunately you will not open any legs at the moment.
So obviously the namepill doesn't stop raping you after making you a NEET. It continues to make you a friendless social outcast inkwell. OMG!
Names affect first impressions socially and romantically as much as your ideal bigonial width achieved by Eppley inserting titanium into your face does.
People subconsciously associate names with:
- race
- class
- immigration status
- cultural familiarity
- attractiveness stereotypes
Online dating studies already show massive racial preference gaps as you niggas are well aware of. Inb4 water you ungrateful faggots.
Certain groups consistently perform worse on dating apps. (not gonna say who, if I think about it anymore I will not be able to finish this thread. Cause I'll be dead. Duh.)
Whether people want to admit it or not, cultural familiarity matters heavily in attraction and social settings. A lot more so in romantic settings, like I assume a lot of you will be friends with a Black dude, but you would rather castrate yourself and move to Tibet to become an asexual monk then to date Shaniqua. You should admit it though, especially since your on this forum and its the truth. This is for the minority that aren't familiar with modern dating.
"Dating apps amplified pre existing racial preferences rather than removing them."
Very subtle things that most niggas don't ever worry/think about:
- name pronunciation
- spelling complexity
- cultural recognisability
- accent assumptions
can shape how people perceive you before you even speak. Just like your face! You get the gist?
Also references for this should be at the end, I blanked out and didn't integrate it into this section.
The Namepill isn't a New Pill, it's Probably Older than the Pills You Take for Muh Bones
So obviously nothing about this shit is new. Immigrants/ethnic namecels have known about this brutal "phenomena" for over a century. But most do nothing about it, because they think this namepill has only marginal differences in quality of life, but this thread is to prove that there is a much larger difference than just "slightly/minimal/insignificant".
Immigrants/ethnics have been anglicising names for over a century.
This is not because "muh idolizing whites" "muh no respect to your ancestors" (you're still keeping the only part of your name in relation to your ancestors retard)
This is actually because assimilation historically improved:
- employment
- social integration
- business opportunities
- dating prospects
- general improvement in quality of life
Some celebrity examples for you guys: (see how much effort I'm putting into this?)
| Original Name | Anglicised Name |
|---|---|
| Ramon Estevez | Martin Sheen |
| Krishna Pandit Bhanji | Ben Kingsley |
| Caryn Johnson | Whoopi Goldberg |
So anglicizing your fucking name has nothing to do with morals and "white supremacist" ideologies.
It is a purely pragmatic decision.
Shorter.
Simpler.
More familiar.
Less friction (substitute teacher mispronouncing your name, your oneitis laughs and thinks your some foreign freak)
Counterarguments (section for effort basically, I don't even do this on my uni assignments.)
Obviously, names carry culture, family history, religion, and identity. Even first names. If you search up your current name "x" on Google for "meaning of the name x, or roots of the name x", it will often times have some history behind it. It might be hard for you to leave behind a name that your parents chose for you, they obviously had good reasons to do so. It also might be hard leaving behind a name you have heard people call you your whole life.
Nobody is obligated to change their name. I would highly recommend you to however.
And I'm not saying that I support all this subconscious name bias, like I see no actual logic behind rejecting an applicant just because of their name, but it's just social conditioning I guess.
However pretending these biases don't exist isn't helping you. Life is unfair, deal with it faggot. It's not even a hard fix.
You can disagree with the system while still understanding how the system operates, and using this knowledge to improve your own life.
Conclusion/TLDR?
So yeah end of my first relatively high effort thread.
Hope it was a useful read if your ethnic, or at least an interesting one if your mayo.
Consider repping. I was also planning on doing a tldr, but I realized if you don't read this thread it doesn't impact your life in regards to LM that much. This is why it's in offtopic, I feel it is a necessary read for some, and just a little brain stimulation after reading through offtopic slop for others. And all in all, it's not even that long just read the thread you dopamine addict fag.
I have linked the studies for you to read if you want to be more in depth, I just kind of summarized the studies. The point of this thread isn't to show you I'm a pseudointellect trying to shove studies and articles down your throat and thoroughly explaining every sentence, it's to convince you that your name has a real impact on your life. Studies are linked to show that there is evidence as to why it affects your life.
