Stanford conducted a study in 2007 testing HGH growth top see if it would increase height and muscle mass. It concluded that it did not increase either of those factors it did find that HGH increased lean body mass by about 2kg and decreased body fat by the same amount. It did not increase muscle strength, bone density, cholesterol levels, or maximal oxygen consumption. Researchers determined that the increase of lean muscle mass was likely water storage rather than increase in tissue growth providing no performance benefits. Additionally, a review of 44 high quality studies by researchers from California involving athletes found that while HGH increased lean body mass by an average of 4.6 pounds, this did not translate into improved strength or exercise capacity. These findings support the consensus that HGH offers no athletic performance benefits for healthy individuals and is not effective for anti-aging or muscle building. My conclusion is that if your taking HGH for height growth or muscle growth it will do neither of those factors.
