If you ask anyone with a sizeable and well defined jaw whether they have their tongue at the roof of their mouth or flat, they will always say roof of mouth.

They most likely have no idea what mewing is, yet have done so unknowingly since they were infants. Even Chico confirmed that he was always "mewing". I have a well developed jaw and as far back as I remember, I was always subconsciously mewing.

I think it's more of a question of nutrition. You say allergens, but as you could conclude from pottenger's cat study allergens are a symptom of malnutrition
