For me it's important to aknowledge we are animals, thus accepting and embracing our characteristics, our life purpose, our needs, etc. If you know what I mean.
But this only works if you are smart and sentient enough. Use your rational brain to behave in such a way to achieve your best version, or whatever else you strive for.

So on an earthly level, we are animals, and there is nothing special about us. But perhaps I’ve been placed in a simulation and my goal is to realise that and reach complete serenity. It is complicated, and not worth thinking much about, but my goal regardless is to reach utter serenity
