both finasturide/dutasturide are 5 alpha reductase inhibitors which means they lower Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by preventing the conversion of testosterone - dht
finasteride lowers systemic dht levels by 60-70% whereas dutastiride lowers dht by 90-99%. stronger doesn't always mean better dut carries more/worse side effects than finasteride, mainly because the half life of dutastiride is 4-5 weeks compared to the 6-8 hour half life of finasteride
– don’t fall for the dht is after puberty propaganda dht is not important after puberty
RU58841 is topical and blocks the scalp androgen receptors so you would get to keep your hair and distance your self away from the NW reaper without nuking DHT this is important if you are still in puberty because DHT is extremely important for facial masculinisation and penis growth during puberty
some people report having chest pains when taking RU for extended periods of time because it can go systematically and its still a research substance (under 5 studies about it)
(topical) Minoxidil is an over thecounter medication used to treat loss (androgenetic alopecia) – oral minox was originally invented to treat high BP in both men and women minoxidil had a unexpected side effect which was hair growth – this is why most of us are using it rn
Topical minox – you apply it topically to desired spots where you would want to see more hairgrowth/density (some people do not respond to minoxidil topically btw)
Strength usually used – 5%
Oral minox – works systemically through the bloodstream to stimulate hair growth
Way stronger than topical but it literally causes hair everywhere
Dosage usually taken – 2.5mg daily
