The ultimate set and forget privacy guide

This forum doesn't need better alt detection. It needs more or higher quality moderators
I agree

There’s always timeframes where there are zero mods online, which is definitely a problem

1. Browsers

My number 1 pick for this is librewolf by far. I like brave but after Google's manifest implementation. Chromium based browsers are severely netured. Librewolf with ublock origin is all you need tbh

For mobile phones I recommend IronFox same thing but for Android

As for search engine by default is brave

But if you don't like it another option is Kagi. It's paid but drastically better than other options. It's basically similar to the Google search engine in its pre AI days

Now for alias infrastructure. The reason I recommend aliases is because if you are trying to hide your digital life will be miserable so what you can instead do is give fake info so even if something leaks you are good. Everyone knows about Proton Mail and Proton Suite but it's expensive and if you are looking for alternatives here are some of them.

If you want to take it one step further. They you can use Mysudo.

This let you generate burner/secondary phone numbers for SMS verification and calling without needing a second SIM card.

Virtual Debit cards. I use this regularly so I'll elab a bit. This website let's you create merchant locked virtual credit cards. You can set a card to only work at "PlayStation" put a $20 limit on it, and use a completely fake name and billing address. If the database gets hacked, the hacker gets a dead card. Highly recommend using this

Grey area tools

I know what you niggas are interested in. So let's talk about some shady stuff. @inyerta and @Hess made a thread about hating windows 11 and AI slop. Microsoft removed most of them and made them optional in an update that dropped yesterday i beleive but for something even more radical. You can use this. This is what I was talking about. Ready made scripts to remove every little bit of tracking

This may or may not get you into trouble if you use them depending on where you live but it's still worth a try.

Now for Android. Android jailbreaking is mostly dead these days. For privacy apps to work properly you need them to have access to system APIs which isn't normally possible without root access to file but this is where Shizuku comes in..

Use this to unlock the kernel and then install

That's it done. There's no need for you to use VPN that drain battery and are unreliable. Just ask chatgpt how to set it up to route evrything through DNSCrypt and you are done

As for IOS users. I'm sorry but apple thinks you niggas don't deserve any privacy.

Most traditional VPNs are trash tbh but if you want it for the simplicity. Use Mullvad VPN. It requires zero personal info to sign up, accepts cash or Monero, and utilizes the modern WireGuard protocol for optimized battery and speed. This is the best

Dark Traffic Masking

If you want to take one step further this is the way. Traditional VPNs are actually very easy to track. They might not show your IP but they can tell you are using VPN tunnel. This forum actually used one such service which I won't reveal because @Mods will fuck me up but more importantly. Streaming sites can block VPN and banks throw up instant lockouts.

So this is what I recommend. Shadowsocks or V2Ray. Instead of creating a loud and obvious VPN tunnel, it wraps all the internet traffic inside normal HTTPS web traffic. To the outsider it looks as if you are using the internet normally but you will have to accept that you are trading the set and forget convenience of Mullvad for a complex, manual server configuration. You can also use VPC if you have one configured on a cloud service provider. This is what I did for a long time when I had the subscription left on AWS after project but it's little more involved and hard to configure and not fully secure if anonymity is end goal.

So let's summarize for an ultimate set and forget setup.

Run Win11Debloat once, use LibreWolf / IronFox for browsing, secure your mobile network with Shizuku + InviZible Pro. Either use Mullvad VPN or setup Shadowsocks and map your digital footprint to SimpleLogin and Privacy.com and done. You only lose 20% of the convience and gain 95% of privacy. Just a few hours to setup all this. All of it can be done on a lazy Sunday evening and by the end of it you 0 ads, 0 tracking and virtually 100% immune from commercial surveillance complex.

But above all this. One thing you can do to not be target is be normal. Act like a normal rational human being. Don't spread hate, don't make too many racist remarks, don't do illegal stuff, don't act like an unhinged autist and generally don't be a bad human being. I can spend hours lecturing you about the tools but you can ask any cybersecurity expert.

The ultimate OPSEC tool is your own behavior. You only become a target when you give them a reason to target you. A lot of my info is public but I've never been bothered by anyone because I use the internet in a responsible way.
Good thread but there's better alternatives for a few of these, overall great for the average guy though

And putting stones in your boots for people in China. They got gait detectors now.

One thing I’d add is to never use personal info in your email address you sign up with and even your password

Would take me two seconds to find leaked logins from dumps
