The more I ascend the better life gets. More people are happy to see me, girls aren't repelled by my presence anymore, and adults treat me with more respect. But then I realize it was never that they liked me, they liked only how I looked. They don't value my skills, my personality, or anything else. It is all entirely overshadowed by the least important part of me.
