The vast majority of geneticists reject the concept of "race" and see it as a non-meaningful, non-biological concept. However, the minority who do use "racial concepts" (and they're wrong BTW) don't meaningfully distinguish between "Europeans" and "Middle Easterners", "Central Asians", "North Africans" and "South Asians". This is because studies on populations can be classed as "regional" and "global" and the latter is more accurate in describing human relationships. The former take into account nuances between and within regions. The latter takes into account the ORIGIN of ancestries and combines them. A random Iranian is overwhelmingly "Western Eurasian" as is an Englishman. The fact one is predominantly "Northern European" and latter is predominantly "West Asian" doesn't change the fact that both are "predominantly Western Eurasian" and as such, they form a cluster.
Why are Basques and Lebanese overlapping when in regional studies, they're at opposite ends? Because the fact Basques are a "genetic isolate with no Middle Eastern ancestry" doesn't change the fact that they're PREDOMINANTLY WESTERN EURASIAN and the fact Lebanese don't possess much Northern European ancestry doesn't change the fact that they're PREDOMINANTLY WESTERN EURASIAN.
In this global study, Middle Easterners aren't differentiated from Europeans despite regional studies doing so. Why is this? Same as I said before. When you share large proportions of Western Eurasian ancestry, whether the specific source is "Anatolian" or "Sardinian". Does. Not. Matter.
In this chart, various Western Eurasians who are normally "distant" in regional studies are directly connected. Why? Again, it is about a HOLISTIC Western Eurasian ancestry, doesn't matter if it's predominantly "Arabian" or "Levantine".
Studies that could be (mis)interpreted to promote "race" still opposes white supremacy because white supremacy is based on erroneous presuppositions (the wrong assumption all "Europeans" are "white" and the wrong assumption that "they" are homogenous between themselves but distinct from "others" which isn't even true for regional studies given that genetics and skin colour variation is clinal).
