Individualistic societies that operate with the nuclear family make having a family extremely expensive and inaccessible. As a result people postpone marriage till very late or in many cases, never and in the meantime fill their days with mindless degeneracy to compensate for the need of human connection. This pretty much destroys the middle class as only the very wealthy can afford to have a stable nuclear family. The lower class people are either perpetually single or single parents reliant on the state.

This encourages people to be selfish and irresponsible as they have nothing to gain in taking care of others and the state is forced to step in more and more. (e.g. its better to send kids to daycare and elders to old folk homes).

As a result, birth rates start to drop and thus the wellfare state economy starts to turn into a net loss. Society becomes more and more fragmented, polarized and impoverished.

You see this is the major issue with modern society and values. It's fragmentation and individualism which is fundamentally against human nature. My theory is that future generations will realize the problem here and fix it. E.g. they will be perfectly fine with their kids spouses living in their house.

i would say your wrong, the lower class people have children they can't afford because they don't give a fuck, because their are social programs to help them and their children, aka welfare and special programs written specifically to help women and children. 93 percent of these programs only women can apply.

The people who are individualistic are not the problem if they are not a burden to society and are productive. Individualism only hurts when its people acting wrecklessly . Its the economy , the gap between the different classes is wider then ever and growing. The avg ceo back in the 1920s on average made only 25x their average worker, now ceos are making 150x the avg worker, not to mention the stocks and other perks.
Years ago you could work part-time and go to college and have your own place, some people worked at lowes ,target and home depot part-time and bought houses.
