The Wanderer (a poem)
By Me
Where to lay my head tonight
Where to find my rest tonight
Fire shoots from clouds
Just don’t know if I can sleep tonight
Doors ajar and jarring pain
All the times I’ve lost my way
If Hell beneath my feet is worst
Than life, I think I’ll choose to stay
But, tell me this;
When does living life pay off?
What does pain and grief give us?
If living ends in death then why the hell
Do people still give birth?
In the end, I’m lost
To sum it up, I’m lost
No direction, lost
Destination lost
Trading loss for loss
By Me
Where to lay my head tonight
Where to find my rest tonight
Fire shoots from clouds
Just don’t know if I can sleep tonight
Doors ajar and jarring pain
All the times I’ve lost my way
If Hell beneath my feet is worst
Than life, I think I’ll choose to stay
But, tell me this;
When does living life pay off?
What does pain and grief give us?
If living ends in death then why the hell
Do people still give birth?
In the end, I’m lost
To sum it up, I’m lost
No direction, lost
Destination lost
Trading loss for loss
