There is definitely a subset of girls who are especially short that pretty much exclusively date men who are especially tall. Scientists have theorized that it’s essentially an attempt to balance out the genes. I’ve met a couple of these girls and one even admitted that she literally only dated guys 6’3 and up despite being 5’2 herself.

These are the kinds of girls who cause people to give the advice of going for average height girls if you’re short. But it really is just a small subset of short girls who are like this and not even close to the norm, hence why your conclusion here is the correct one.
