What does 'far left economically' mean to you?

I think western europe has the most far left economies in the world right now, with Norway/Sweden leading. Netherlands close behind.

Combining 1) Extremely high taxes and then 2) Distributing this money through social programs/policies, leaving a majority of the population reliant on the government to get by comfortably.

Governments are incredibly bloated in Europe. In the netherlands we always joke about working for the government. 'If you have no ambition, it's the best job you can get'. Because most people that work for the government are incompetent slackers unfit for private companies, that get paid well for doing nothing, except wasting tax money.
