Far too quickly it had bridged the distance to my neck and tried to dig its tusks into my flesh while it was still flying. The wolf's bad breath was horrible, but mine wasn't bad either. The wolf was irritated when I opened my mouth too. Actually to scream and not to bite. The wolf snapped next to it because, as it should be, I let myself fall in time. I got hold of his stomach with my teeth, rooted through the fur, which stank like a thousand acres of death, and dug my teeth, into the black flesh. The result was a howl like that of a badger dog. Damn, I got the werewolf right. He had had enough of me and fled into the undergrowth. I refrained from following him. My smoker's lungs wouldn't have taken it.
