The World Feels So Small But Big

It's interesting to me how this world feels so tiny but massive. You could fly over countries in a plane in a matter of hours, looking out of the plane's window and can see that fields, the sea, etc makes you feel gigantic. But you could also get lost in a place and the location's size would intimidate you and that the place you are lost in may seem larger to you, the time you are lost can feel endless.
