Back in 2016 everyone and their dog were playing Pokemon Go. If you went outside and saw a kid or a teenager holding a phone in their hand and walking around there was like a 90 % chance that he was playing Pokemon Go.
Searching for Pokemons was an NT thing to do, no matter if your friend was a nerd truecel or an athlete chad, everyone played this game and it was constantly being talked about by the media.
Some of my friends got creative and were searching for Pokemons on a Vespa scooter while one guy was driving and the other was catching Pokemons (because you couldn’t play it in a car unless you were driving like 25 km/h through town).
I really miss those days, it was the perfect game that connected real life activities like walking outside and hanging out with your friends in real life with a digital world with Pokemons and battles. It was also a pretty NT game at that time and widely accepted. Now you must be the biggest autist if you still play it, and I can’t think of a game that is now as massively popular as Pokemon Go used to be back in 2016.
