Besides being ugly/boneless/manlet there's nothing worse for your drive, energy and motivation in life than video games, porn/fapping, junk food, TV/Netflix .. basically everything that highly rewards your brain for minimal effort. That shit will make you lazy and kills your energy for achieving greater things and actually doing the hard stuff that would reward you later on, and you won't even realize it.

You can cope how you want, every successful person knows this and is aware of it, no matter where you want to be successful; with maxxing your looks, money, girls and friends or just life in general. You need to reduce that shit to a minimum ideally (cutting it out completely is pretty unrealistic for most to be honest, if your aiming for the top you'll probably need to though).

Also the more of a monkey brain you have the easier you'll fall victim to those shortterm pleasurable things, many who read this and agree on the message and already know it, will still end up fapping everyday while watching porn and eating fast food while shitposting here afterwards, some are just not made for it or meant to be saved I guess

Well men's greatest assest is having a loyal wife and children, that will motivate a man more than anything else to go out and be successful

Now that men cant even score a girlfriend, let alone a family, it is near impossible for men to stay motivated

IMO Man's greatest asset nowadays is agency (versus woman's lack of agency).

It's because of this thinking men have been reduced to second class citizens

Yeah frequent dopamine detoxxing, by not constantly using ur phone wherever u go, listening to music when ur going somewhere etc. is gonna make ur dopamine receptors more sensitive and ur gonna be better able to concentrate and will be more motivated to do boring mundane things that are often the key to achieving ur goals

As long as you looksmax, nothing else matters.

So, as long as you looksmax, you could do whatever you want with the rest of your time and it wouldn't make a difference. But, you have to be able to look back on old pictures of yourself and see a difference in your looks, if you can't do that, then you're either blind or you wasted your time by not looksmaxxing.

I've been trying to looksmax since 2016, even before I knew that it was a thing and I have seen some very big improvements in my looks since then.

Agree that looksmaxxing is the 1st priority, but there are plenty other things beside it to push forward/invest time in aswell (money, relationships, overall health and energy, travelling, etc)

This is so fukin true.

As you allude to, most people "already know this", just like they have all the knowledge to get a great physique or career, however they end up doing it.

The crazy thing is how all encompassing this shit is. And if you have an addictive personality or get easily addicted, it can totally derail your entire life.

I've had times where I'm killing it on all fronts, and then one single slip up (start playing some game with my friends, order takeout a bit too much and so on) and all of a sudden I'm a dopamine junky fapping infront of my computer gaining weight like a psychopath and going nowhere in life.

I mean, as you say, most of us already know it. But understanding this and quitting dopamine bullshit cold turkey (to the extent which is needed) is probably the most important step a man can take.

So true man, I also can say from my perspective that I got it told many many times in the last years (through insta, youtube, here, etc), but it's only when you realize it internally that you are the one fully responsible for your own life and every little decision you make, that's when you really will have it internalized deeply

I mean it's kind of natural part of growing up but still many people never really adapot the mindset entirely(not easy to say why). "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink"

For sure.

This is sort of a random thing that is only slightly relevant, but I hope you'll see where I'm going with it:

So I like philosophical debates and topics, and a big one in modern philosophy is veganism. I'm not a vegan, yet I fully understand that it is immoral to eat meat for a plethora of reasons. However, I don't see the problem with believing one thing and doing another. We do that ALL the time, everyone does it. There is nothing "ammoral" about believing one thing and doing another. An obese person isn't immoral for believing being fat is bad and still staying fat. I mean essentially nobody truly lives their lives how they believe it should be lived.

But why is that? Well, because we're dopamine junkies.

Imagine you're say a 20 year old just out of high school. You can envision a dream life: A fully looksmaxxed tan, athletic physique, a fulfilling lucrative job that gives you a lot of status, maybe a sick wardrobe of designer clothes and on top of all that, be living the most Chad bachelor life by the time you are 25.

Now I think most young men dream of such a lifestyle. So why are so laughably few doing it? Its not because getting an education and high paying job, or achieving a great physique is ACTUALLY difficult in terms of "skill". It is difficult because we are CONSTANTLY being distracted by shit. We want to relax, eat like a slob and procrastinate. If we didn't have fast food, youtube, porn, social media and similar things constantly nagging us for attention, we would just go out and fucking do whatever we need to do to achieve our goals.

I'm almost 30 years old, and I can't help but feel I've wasted most of my 20s doing literally nothing because of this. I have my 30s left, then I am an old guy that needs to settle and get kids and all that shit. I'm not fucking letting it happen to my 30s.

Regret is the worst feeling tbh. I think it's very common in guys to have that feeling of having wasted the last years and not having done their best, I've seen it so often and I personally also regret a lot about the last few years(although I'm still rather young), but it's also one of the strongest motivators for the future to not make the same mistake again.

What would you do differently if you were 20 again?
I'm pretty much trying to live and plan my life as good as possible so that I won't regret anything about it later but I'm always not sure if there is still something that I miss out on or will regret not having done/accomplished(like as an example later in life you just can't make up for missing out on innocent teenage love anymore)

Firstly, I think the "innocent teenage love" shit is meaningless. The real deal is being lusted after, I mean truly lusted after. That happens only way after the "first love" bullshit.

Anyways, what I'd do differently personally probably will differ from what many others would want to do. For instance, some people would probably want to travel the world, do a bunch of drugs and so on. Thats not really what I'd consider optimal time spent, although I can see the appeal.

I would get on hardcore looksmaxxing routine, start working towards high education to get money rolling, stay single and fuk as many girls as possible just to get it out of my system. Like I thought I had it out of my system, but I didnt. The important part is just getting everything in life set up, then stay single and fuck around for years on end imo. Of course once you truly find a good thing where everything is right, go for the relationship. But until then, not force anything and just fuck around, while at the same time maxing out everything else. Being a bachelor with money and high SMV is optimal life imo.

Going to sell my gaming PC and buy a laptop which cant play games. Been coping for a while because I talk to two of my close friends while gaming but they'll still be my friends without it and if not they aren't friends. Video game addiction is real, I've litterally been a drug addict and would rather go back to that than be addicted to videogames.

This site is the main reason im gaining easy dopamine. I need to be banned
