cause most people are scum, they easily find others of their like. but also because they're always extreme narcissists, oblivious and obnoxious, they always talk the most, thinking people give a fuck about their every thought and opinion, and it's amazing how many regular people will cater to them and act as their friend. my 65 yr old female neighbour is the most obnoxious person ever, yet she constantly has friends around, constantly talks shit about them as soon as they leave, even her own daughter, will sometimes complain on the phone she has no friends because only 3 people visited her on her bday (not a party, these people dropped by separately with gifts).

it's incredible how these scum manage to engage in constant conversations where both side thinks they are the centre of the universe and it doesn't devolve into fights everytime.
