Is the mistaken idea that dating apps are easy once you get matches or sexual comments.
So people see a chad get hundreds of matches, or a message like "omg I want to have your babies" or "holy shit your facial structure" or them agreeing to something sexual, and think that OLD for chad is tutorial mode.
You can easily get a hundred matches without a slay. A match on the first hand is meaningless, because it probably won't even materialize into a conversation. But even if it does...
People think because a girl complimented you that it's a certified, basically confirmed slay. Or that if she's making sexual comments its an obvious slay. In reality, it's basically meaningless.
And then even if you guys do keep talking and set something up, flaking is extremely common. If you try to set up something sexual the first date, it will spike her anxiety and make flaking even more common.
Which means then you have to survive past the first date, set up another date, and then hope she doesn't flake on that date.
So it's basically filter after filter after filter girls have to pass through. So each match gives a very small chance of getting a slay. Your average joe sees a guy get past level 1 (the matches) and thinks he cracked the matrix.
Say match to convo is 1/3. And convo to not ghosting is 1/3. And not ghosting to setting up a date is 1/3. And date set-up to not flaking is 1/3. And not flaking to sex is 1/3. You would need around 168 matches to get a 50% chance of a slay.
(This is water and was made obvious in about 2023 but it's been awhile since I saw a thread on it)
