I honestly don't know, this probably isn't a helpful answer since.

A lot of users say so, and the Mews (jfl). Here i see a lot of people using brachy and eury as a prototypical sfs skull. The Mews use a dolicho skull (they really mean lepto) as a prototypical downgrown skull. So most people here think smaller skulls are bad, while the Mews praise smaller, more compact skulls.

However, when describing phenotypes, all of these cephalic and facial indexes are used (I think), which I think shows that they should be not used to describe abnormal growth patterns.

In addition, some surgery before and afters give people a longer or shorter face, but really their skull is the same or how it is supposed to be.
My conclusion/verdict is that they shouldn't be used to describe things like SFS or LFS.

The Mews are clowns, so I disregard most of what they say. I think using these archetypes so describe issues maxillofacially is not correct
