The sinking of M/S Estonia was not an accident but either a military operation/freak accident where a military submarine accidentally hit it/weapons-grade cargo detonated inside the ship.
Either way it did not sink because of the ”stormy weather”. Very interesting case for those who haven’t digged around in it before. Major tragedy and sketchy acting by two usually stable and respected governments. There’s a bunch of information around it and many great documentaries and shows surrounding it. Highly recommend.
