Theory: Can braces make the philtrum look shorter visually?

Since the brackets sit on the teeth, the upper lip kind of rests over them, which pushes it slightly forward. It’s also known that braces can make lips appear fuller.

So I’m wondering:

• could this increase in projection and lip show reduce the visible space between the nose and lip?
• and could it work somewhat similar to a subtle Botox lip flip effect (visually)?

Less visible skin = shorter appearance?

Is this actually possible or am I overthinking it?
