It is known that good-looking people are more likely to get accepted.
Good-looking people are more likely to be promoted, etc. - To combat this very stupid phenomenon, we should focus more on the actual quality of the applicants.
Merit and competence should be more important than looks.
As it stands, ugly people are at a disadvantage, because they either don't send pictures with their application at all OR they have ugly pictures.
This wouldn't be the case, if pictures on job applications were illegal. In that way, we can ensure that fairness is achieved and people won't be hired because of their looks.
