More specifically, most (notice I did not say all) trans people identify as Trans to rationalize why they are failures at life. In reality most Trans people are failures at life because they are stupid, dull, pedestrian dumb. But rather than accept that they are just not that smart, they would rather construct an alternative reality whereby they have some super complex sexuality which is not recognized by society at large, and it is only recognized by the enlightened few that can understand their sexuality and recognize their genius.

It‘s think it mostly is just escapism to deal with the mass mental-illness problem caused by a lack of purpose and social media.

If you‘re lost on life and depressed, the idea of potentially being able to leave everything old behind and just restart as someone else probably does sound appealing to a lot of lost souls.

The one trans women i know IRL is highly intelligent, has a Phd an everything but felt miserable beforehand and just left every sense of critical thinking around the topic behind to flee into some safe heaven.

Cope. Rather than accept the brutal truth that your IQ is low, you make up this genius PSL theory to make you think you’re smart.

elab. by “topic” do you mean gender or her PhD topic?

both in a sense.
doesn't work in "her" field anymore (mechanical engineering) even though "she" was on "her" way to a junior professor-ship.
and even though you'd think a former Phd STEMcel should be able of critical thinking, she behaves completely dogmatic about all trans-topics. fully submerged into her own illusion, no matter how many blatant contradictions and misconceptions about the topic you confront her with.
