Therapy is a scam

every time i try to tell a therapist about my looks and probelms with dating they give the same bluepilled copes that all friends/family do

"you're not ugly you just haven't found the right one"
"girls don't care about looks just humor"
"any girl would be lucky to have you just be patient"

this isn't news to anyone here but holy shit what a waste of money. all they do is give you the same advice any friend would and then charge you for months to hear the same shit over and over again. i'm glad i stopped going

I've gone to therapy and one day my current therapist basically told me that I have to cope. "You can't control what happens to you but you can choose how to react to it". So just ignore reality and the fact that there's people living better lives than you.
At least I'm not paying for it, my mother does. But if it were because of me I wouldn't bother going.

OP that's hilarious - I thought therapists at least would explain human bias and blindspots of the mind and tips to increase self awareness that one wouldn't recognize without a 3rd party pointing out to them. If I hired a therapist and they told me "girls would be lucky to have you just be patient" and I knew I was a loser - I would walk out right there on the spot and never return to said therapist
