One minute you're a fresh 18 yo then you're 25 then 30 then 40, etc. I'm early 20s and see people I went to school with lives get ruined by kids. My sister is only a year older than me and she has kids and has no freedom lmfao. Meanwhile, I can do literally whatever I want whenever I want. I can't imagine having kids anytime soon.

You're clearly very young. Life is more complicated than this. Alot of kids are made out of wedlock or by accident (even within long term relationships). There may be situations where both parties agree to keep the kid but end up breaking up down the line, putting the burden more on one person than the other. Or there may be other conflicting goals, like financial goals where both parties may have to work. Or one party may be in school..
