Everything has been introduced to the general public because social media. There are no more niche music genres, movies, animes, shows or games. Normies have taken over everything and grinded it to a pulp. Reading books is not becoming niche, it is simply becoming less common since fewer people have the attention span and interest for it. A deep knowledge of philosophy can be considered niche at least.
