Individual rights are based on equity between each human being, it means that any human being gets access to the rights given by the state without depending on other people. Therefore an individual right should mean that any person has the cappacity of live in a state with a responsability of his/her actions, because rights cannot be respected without the law. For a male for example, no other one has the right to intervene in his decisions or life because anything he would do is already considerated in the law as something apropiate or innapropiate to do. No other human being has the right to kill you, and if this wasn't respected you would have the right to kill other people (example: your brother's murder), this is the same reason women don't have the right to abort because it kills a human being which is living in her womb without it's permission. For suicide this is not the case, as you're an individual no one has the right to dictate how you'll live your life in society if you respect everything according to the law and norms. When you have the human cappacity to talk and the right to be considered an individual, you should be able to defend a reason to suicide in any given time because your life doesn't depend on the existence of others, not even your family. Also existence was never desired, no one could choose to be born with certain genes and environment. So if a person decides to suicide (as it's a free human action) there's no more than feeling indifferent, sad or happy because the person is no longer alive. When you came into this world the state doesn't give you any guarantee of living well, of finding a job, of having friends and so on... So what we have to focus on is to reduce the causes of suicide but we shouldn't condenm a person who is willing to do so because most of the times you can't control or change that person life. In reality, we don't need "a right" to suicide but what I mean is that based on individual rights, there's no argument to force someone to keep existing in this world if his/her life is not desired.
