So basically an FMRI machine images your brain onto a screen and shows up your brain activity in real time whilst the subject gets exposed to various stimuli, so they can see how the brain reacts on screen.
Basically what I wanna do is get a bunch of people to participate going into an FMRI machine, and whilst their brain activity is being recorded and shown on screen, I will get them to view various deformed, extremely ugly faces, such as cruzon syndrome and other deformities, and then watch their brain activity as they are looking at the deformed faces, then I will show them a picture of MY face and see how similar the brain activity is when people look at my face VS an actual deformed face.
It would probably be the closest I could get to truly finding out if people genuinely perceive me as deformed.
But my question is, how exactly do I go about conducting an experiment like this?
