I remember a couple of years ago my english teacher in class said that the future doesn't exist. And that previously I thought about what he meant by that claim. 
But recently it made more sense in my head, I believe that the future does not exist and that it is an artifical concept. Every moment which you are alive for involves experience, every moment alive is either spent in the present, you are in the present currently for or you will be in the present, there is only the present. The present is what is infront of you, there will always be something infront of you till you die. Your future is claimed to be something that is always ahead of you until your last breath, after your last breath there is no future your essentially gone, when something is always ahead of you, you cannot experience it. So the present ≠the future, so there is no room for the future, the future is only an idea in the mind. Let me explain, for example: in the future 5 years later you will get a job. Previously in the past you obviously never got the job, in the past was the things you experienced in the present state. So right now in the present you currently don't have the job. In between those 5 years you don't have the job, each moment inbetween those 5 years you will experience the present once it is all infront of you. And then in the future you finally land the job. But guess what when you will be in the future with the job you will be in the present with the job too aswell, and as we know the present cannot coexist with the future. The present is the current state you are in that's very real and the so called future is something that will happen that is not in front of you. There will always be a so called future for you till your last moment alive, just to never touch it since every moment you live was/is/will always be spent in the present. So the future is all an illusion, it's made up in people's heads. You cannot touch the future, it's always there ahead of you until your last moment which isn't your future once it occurs. Where is this future people talk about? I believe @Gargantuan made a thread about time and mentioned something like this if I'm right a few months ago, so the credit goes to him for this thread idea.
